The Florida Gulf Coast Paralyzed Veterans of America is just one of 34 chapters across the US providing services to our veterans.

The Paralyzed Veterans of America, a congressionally chartered veterans service organization founded in 1946, has developed a unique expertise on a wide variety of issues involving the special needs of our members - veterans of the armed forces who have experienced spinal cord injury or dysfunction.

By dropping off your used goods in one of our donation drop boxes or by scheduling a pickup - you're saluting the people who've sacrificed so much in service to this great nation. Your donation is tax deductible and pickup is FREE.

 

*Sorry we are unable to accept large items such as upholstered furniture, mattresses, box springs and console TVs.

Paralyzed Veterans of America Awards Twenty-Five College Students With Scholarships.....

Paralyzed Veterans of America is proud to announce that twenty-five college students will each receive a $1,000 scholarship through Paralyzed Veterans’ Educational Scholarship Program.

The 2014-2015 school year scholarship awardees are:  Noah Agne, Weldon Spring, MO; Justin Betts, Augusta, GA; Kelsea Bixler, Stillwater, OK; Jennifer Bond, Wiggins, MS; Maya Chatman, Statesboro, GA; Johannes-Jacobus Crawford, Greenwood Village, CO; Stephanie Dolezal, Fairfax, VA; David Ethridge, Marietta, GA; Taleah Foster, Fayetteville, NC; Terquan Foster, Fayetteville, NC; Ryan Hadley, Cincinnati, OH; Megan Houlton, Muskogee, OK; John Kazanjian, Glendale, CA; Keiyana Lee, Albuquerque, NM; Samuel McCauley, Greenville, SC; Katherine Ness, Elm Grove, WI; Alexcee Nienow, Woodbury, MN; Barbara Prescott, Niskayuna, NY; Amber Rice, Ardmore, AL; Marissa Spencer, Yorktown, VA; Brittney Stever, Clearwater, KS; Christian Trinidad, Orlando, FL; Jeremiah Wickersheim, Hilbert, WI;  Robert Taylor, Little Rock, AR; and Blake Wood, Hastings, OK

The Paralyzed Veterans of America Educational  Scholarship Program was established in 1986 to help members and their immediate families gain postsecondary education from accredited colleges and universities across America. 

“We’re very proud to be able to assist members and their families continue their education through our scholarship program,” said Al Kovach Jr., national president of Paralyzed Veterans of America. “I congratulate all of this year’s awardees and wish them the best.”

Scholarship applications for the 2015-2016 academic school year will be available in April 2015. Interested parties may check back on www.pva.org for more information.
