Florida Gulf Coast PVA works with various medical centers to provide a variety of services – including peer counseling, patient grievance assistance, hospital environment inspection, survey conduction and assistance for newly paralyzed veterans as they transition into mainstream society. These programs help improve the overall quality of life for our veterans, encompassing family and career.

James A. Haley Veterans’ Hospital

James A. Haley VA Hospital’s Spinal Cord Injury (SCI) unit is known as one of the best spinal cord units in the country. It provides highly skilled and quality care for veterans requiring special attention as a result of their injury or disease, and serves as an outpatient clinic for regular check-ups as well as medications and supplies.

The Bay Pines VA Medical Center

The Bay Pines VA Medical Center serves veterans living in the immediate area. Their system of care provides a coordinated life-long continuum of services for eligible veterans with spinal cord injury and has an SCI coordinator assigned to work with the SCI center in Tampa.
