Advocacy

Florida Gulf Coast PVA is a staunch advocate for the rights of our members and non-veterans with disabilities by promoting the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). The ADA ensures civil rights to all including equal employment opportunities, entrance into places of public accommodation and access to both parking facilities and public transportation.

Florida Gulf Coast PVA advocates for:

• Quality health care for our members
• Education addressing members’ spinal injury or dysfunction
• Assistance securing members benefits as a result of their military service
• Maximized independence
• Sports and recreations re-entry assistance

Florida Gulf Coast PVA communicates with Florida state legislators and members of the U.S. Congress to advocate for legislation benefiting veterans and non-veterans with disabilities. We also assist government entities and businesses in resolving code-compliance issues.
